TRADITIONAL THAI MASSAGE

Thai massage is also called yoga massage, because the therapist uses his or her hands, thumbs, knees, elbows and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches and gentle pressure along energy lines . It helps reduce tension, improves flexibility and balances the body’s energy system. Usually done on a padded mat on the floor or can be done on the table.  We are proud to offer traditional Thai massage in a beautifully decorated room.

THAI BODYWORK

Thai bodywork relaxes the muscles and stimulates the circulation so that blood flows freely, carrying oxygen and nutrients to where they are needed. By working on the circulation, regular bodywork can help normalize blood pressure by easing the pressure on overburdened arteries and veins.

HOT STONE MASSAGE

In hot stone therapy specially selected heated stones are used to massage the body, providing a nurturing and enhanced therapeutic effect. The smooth basalt stones have a high iron content, enabling them to retain heat. The stones are applied at varying degrees of heat, wet, onto an oiled body and the effect is similar to a combination of sauna and massage, without having to breathe in steam.

SWEDISH MASSAGE

In Swedish massage the goal is to relax the entire body and this is accomplished by using the hands and palms, with firm kneading and long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. This technique increases circulation and releases tension.  Oil or lotion is often used to reduce friction and stimulate the skin, which improves overall boby health.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

Deep Tissue Massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structure of the muscles and fascia, also called connective tissue. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movement and techniques as Swedish massage but the  pressure will generally be more intense.

SPORTS MASSAGE

The sports massage applies a range of techniques which help  to restore function to muscles and joints before, during and following sports participation. This is also known as sports therapy or therapeutic massage.

FOOT REFLEXOLOGY/MASSAGE

Modern reflexology is based on an ancient form of therapy. There is evidence of some form of foot and hand therapy being practised in China as long ago as 4,000 B.C. and also at the same time in Egypt.  It is believed that reflexology can benefit health in the following ways: Improved blood circulation:

Due to a sedentary lifestyle, some don’t use the feet muscles properly and wear tight footwear. This hampers the circulation of blood in the feet.  Frequent foot massage helps in transporting oxygen to the body’s cells, which is essential for overall health.

Fights depression:

Foot massage and reflexology help in fighting depression. Certain points on the feet are helpful in alleviating depression symptoms. Massaging these points or applying pressure to them can help relieve symptoms of depression.

Helps in relaxation:

After a tiring and stressful day, a foot massage is a soothing and relaxing way to end your day.

Promotes better sleep:

A soothing and relaxing foot massage improves the blood circulation. This helps in getting a peaceful sleep.

Relieves body pains:

This is the best part of reflexology. If done carefully, it treats pains and aches such as headaches, migraines, neck pain, lower and upper backaches.
